Eugene Boudin is one of the well known French landscape painters to color within the open, directly from nature. His several beach scenes directly link the rigorously discovered naturalism of the first nineteenth century and also the good lightweight and fluid technique currently 19th-century art movement.
Boudin was inquisitive about the link of figures, sand, ocean and sky, refracted within the dazzling coastal lightweight. The sense of airiness and house during this tiny painting is palpable.
